CT Realtor Day

Today Im at the capitol to support home ownership. There is alot of legislature in place that will affect homeowners for years to come. The governor, Dannel Malloy, is here to make a few comments. He has proposed more taxes to be paid during a real estate transaction.

He wants to make the conveyance tax permanent. Most towns will also be able to double this tax due to them. We are all digging out of a hole and this makes the housing arena take on more than what we should. The housing industry must improve before the overall economy will.

His budget is still too large and its unfair for the housing sector to take on more responsibility.
