East Hartford & Coffee With A Cop

In the spirit of the successful community outreach program ‘Coffee With A Cop’, the East Hartford Police Department announces SANDWICH WITH A COP.  All community members are invited to join East Hartford Police Officers—over a sandwich—to discuss issues and learn more about each other.  There is no agenda, no speeches.  Talk about your neighborhood, ask questions, share concerns, or stop by just to chat.

“We recognize Community Policing as a framework for establishing trust between the community and the police,” said Deputy Police Chief Mack Hawkins.  “Events like these have proven successful in bringing police officers and the community members they serve together in a relaxed, non-emergency setting,” Hawkins added.  “Stop by and see us, everyone is welcome.”

The East Hartford Police Department’s ‘Sandwich With A Cop’ takes place from 11:00AM to 1:00PM on Tuesday, February 28th at Subway Restaurant, 309 Ellington Road, East Hartford, Connecticut.

In my opinion East Hartford has a fine police force who wants to communicate and collaborate with the community.  They are making a deliberate effort to improve East Hartford and find creative solutions.  I commend our officers and thank them for their service. ~ Rob Rosa ~
